NADN 166 - Pediatric Nursing3 Credit (2 lecture, 0 lab, 3 clinical) 5 Contact Hours [Department Permission] This course focuses on the care of infants, children, and adolescents with common chronic and acute pediatric health disorders while meeting their growth and development needs. The role of the nurse in pediatric illness and injury prevention will also be emphasized. Students will apply pediatric communication and assessment skills while providing nursing care in both actual and simulated clinical settings, emphasizing and application of the nursing process along with principles of family centered care.
