Truck Entrepreneur Certificate

Montcalm Community  College (MCC) offers the Truck Driver Entrepreneur Certificate through a contractual agreement with Fleet Compliance Group (FCG). This program consists of 26 credit hours of coursework at MCC, and an 8 credit (120 hour) truck driver training course delivered FCG.  For more information on FCG, you can go to the following website: http://www.fcgtruckdrivertraining.com/about/

To qualify for this certificate program students must:

• be at least 18 years of age
• hold a current and valid “Operator’s” license
• present proof of a successful background check. See the following website for a list of disqualifying crimes http://www.dmv.org/mi-michigan/apply-cdl.php

To graduate from the program students must:

• take and pass the State “Written Test” to obtain a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP)
• meet all physical and criminal requirements specified of F.M.C.S.A. D.O.T. regulations

After completing this certificate program, students can enter MCC’s Business Administration/Entrepreneurship, A.A.S.  degree program.
