Writing Level 3

Writing level 3 places students into college level writing. Students are placed into this level if they meet one of the following criteria:

• ACCUPLACER NextGen Writing 256 or higher
• ACCUPLACER Classic Sentence Skills 81 or higher
• COMPASS Writing 70 or higher

S​tudents can take classes at this level if they meet one of the following criteria:

• ACCUPLACER NextGen Writing 256 or higher
• ACCUPLACER Classic Sentence Skills 81 or higher
• COMPASS Writing 70 or higher
• SAT Writing and Language 25 or higher
• ACT English 18 or higher
• Successful completion (C or higher) of any higher-level English (class with ENGL prefix)
• Associate Degree or higher
