Reading Level 2

Reading Level 1 is no longer in use. All students place in Level 2 or higher depending on the assessment. For questions related to the levels, see a counselor or advisor.

Reading level 2 places students into intermediate reading. Students are placed into this level if they meet one of the following criteria:

• ACCUPLACER NextGen Reading 234-248
• ACCUPLACER Classic Reading Comprehension 51-73

Students can take classes at this level if they meet one to the following criteria:

• ACCUPLACER NextGen Reading 234 or higher
• ACCUPLACER Classic Reading Comprehension 51 or higher
• SAT Reading 25 or higher
• ACT Reading 18 or higher
• Successful completion (C or higher) of any higher-level English (class with ENGL prefix)
• Associate Degree or higher
