Math Level 4

Math Level 1, 2, and 3 are no longer in use. All students place in Level 4 or higher depending on the assessment. For questions related to the levels, see a counselor or advisor.

Math level 4 places all students into intermediate algebraic math, college level quantitative reasoning, or introductory statistics. Students are placed into this level if they meet one of the following criteria: 

• ACCUPLACER Next Gen Arithmetic 200-300 

• ACCUPLACER NextGen Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra & Statistics (QAS) 233-272 

• ACCUPLACER Classic Arithmetic 20-120 

• ACCUPLACER Classic Elementary Algebra 41-89 

• SAT Math 26-28 

Students can take classes at this level if they meet one of the following criteria: 

• ACCUPLACER NextGen Arithmetic 200 or higher 

• ACCUPLACER NextGen QAS 233 or higher 

• ACCUPLACER Classic Elementary Algebra 41 or higher 

• SAT Math 26 or higher
