Reading Level 1

Reading level 1 places students into basic reading. Students are placed into this level if they meet one of the following criteria:

• ACCUPLACER Reading Comprehension 35-50
• COMPASS Reading 49-65

Students can take classes at this level if they meet one of the following criteria:

• ACCUPLACER Reading Comprehension 35 or higher
• COMPASS Reading 49 or higher
• SAT Reading Score 25 or higher
• ACT Reading 18 or higher
• Successful completion (C or higher) of any higher-level English (class with ENGL prefix)
• Associate Degree or higher
