MATH 250 - Calculus and Analytic Geometry I4 credit (4 lecture, 0 lab) 4 contact hours [MATH 120 and MATH 159 or MATH 180 ] This course starts with a review of the functions needed in the study of calculus. The main topic of this course is differential calculus. Topics included are limits, differentiation, continuity, differentiability, optimization and modeling. In addition, definite integrals and theorems involving definite integrals will also be introduced. Numerous applications associated with some topics are also explored. Students experience these concepts using a problem solving approach with hands-on models and appropriate technology. OFFERED: fall semesters
