GNST 115 - Effective Online Learning1 Credit (1 lecture, 0 lab) 1 Contact Hours This course teaches how to apply tools and strategies for effective learning in an online environment. Basic elements of online course environments are discussed, along with issues related to success in online and traditional classes. Topics covered include: personality and learning styles and how they relate to online education, time management, motivation, discussion board etiquette and building and maintaining relationships with both the instructor and fellow online students. Basic knowledge of computers, Internet and e-mail is expected of students enrolling in this class. Furthermore, it is required that students enrolling in this class have access to a personal computer with Internet access. OFFERED: every semester
