Technical Design in Manufacturing, A.A.S.


(Code 1320)

This program is designed to prepare students for employment or advancement in the fields of industrial design, fabrication, and manufacturing with an emphasis on emerging technologies and strategies. Students will be well equipped to compete in today’s job market, as the program combines traditional fabrication tools with new design and fabrication processes. A counselor should be consulted if the student plans to transfer to a four-year institution.

Upon completion of this program [CIP: 15.1301], graduates should be able to:

  • demonstrate use of computer systems used in industry.
  • demonstrate use of industrial machines.
  • demonstrate communication and relationships.
  • design a tool and die.
  • create drawings using CAD software.

Prerequisite courses may apply to this program. A minimum of 60 unduplicated credits (100 level or higher) are required for all associate degree programs.
