The Computer Technology Certificate program is designed for those who want to provide technical assistance for computer systems and users. This program provides instruction in both business and technology, and directly relates to industry certifications from CompTIA, and Microsoft. Students in this program should also consider the Computer Network Administration A.A.S. or the Computer Networks and Systems A.A.S. programs.
Upon completion of this program [CIP: 11.0103], students should be able to:
- configure computer networks.
- administer Windows Client.
- configure Windows Server.
- plan and implement appropriate network security measures.
- demonstrate working knowledge of UNIX operating system.
- configure and maintain computer hardware and software.
- demonstrate workplace professionalism.

Please Note:
Prerequisite courses may apply to this program. A minimum of 30 unduplicated credits (100 level or higher) are required for all certificate programs.
Program Requirements
GNST 100 offers skills needed to succeed in work-life. It is a required course and must be taken during the first semester at MCC.
