Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), A.A.S.

This program provides the background, skills, knowledge, understanding and techniques needed for students to work as HVAC technicians. Students gain knowledge of various environmental conditions and how they impact human comfort level. In addition, students will have the skills necessary to install and service HVAC systems. Students should develop sufficient skills and knowledge for North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Certification.

Upon completion of this program [CIP: 47.0201], graduates should be able to:

  • demonstrate installation, programming, and troubleshooting skills for HVAC controls.
  • understand air quality and comfort levels of HVAC systems.
  • demonstrate installation skills for HVAC systems.
  • demonstrate service and troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems.

Please Note:


Prerequisite courses may apply to this program. A minimum of 60 unduplicated credits (100 level or higher) are required for all associate degree programs.
