CSTC 171 - Computer Maintenance I3 Credit (2 lecture, 2 lab) 4 Contact Hours [Pre- or co-requisite: CSTC 100 or ELEC 110 or ELEC 111 ] This is the first of two courses introducing students to entry-level skills used in personal computer repair and maintenance. Topics include computer assembly, component specifications, installation and configuration of operating system software, memory optimization, resolution of hardware and software conflicts, and peripheral maintenance.
