AHEA 116 - Body Systems and Disease3 credit (3 lecture, 0 lab, 0 clinical) 3 contact hours [Minimum scores of 82 on Compass Reading Test, 70 on Compass Writing Test, and MATH 075 or 36 on Compass Pre-Algebra Test]* This course is designed for medical assistant and other allied health students. It is a one semester, non-laboratory based course that provides an introduction to each system of the human body and the pathologic conditions associated with each system. The fundamentals of body structure and function, basic mechanisms and concepts of disease and terminology, and laboratory tests related to the systems and disease processes are examined.
