MCC offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Security in partnership with Kaplan University. This program prepares students for careers in homeland security, criminology, data recovery, data security and other related areas. It is designed to provide students with the requisite knowledge to take the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam and the EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) exam.

Prerequisite courses may apply to this program.

  • IT 411 - Digital Forensics 6 credit (transfers to MCC as ISCY 220  4 credit)
  • IT 412 - Information Systems Security 6 credit  (transfers to MCC as ISCY 230  4 credit)
  • IT 478 - Web Servers and Security 6 credit  (transfers to MCC as ISCY 240  4 credit)

Suggested Electives


Elective credits as necessary to earn a minimum of 60 credits (100 level or above). The following suggested electives work well with this program.
