This course focuses on the design of indexing jigs and milling fixtures. Use of standard components from various catalogs is also emphasized.

Goal 1: Demonstrate jig and fixture design.

Identify vendors for standard jig and fixture components.
Identify sources for purchasing standard jig and fixture components.
Demonstrate the fundamental aspects of design.
Demonstrate creative design of manufacturing tools.
Design at least six jigs and fixtures.
