This program provides a background in office administration and computer productivity tools for initial employment in the information processing field.
Students interested in receiving an associate degree should see a counselor.
Upon completion of this program [CIP: 52.0401], students should be able to:
- apply basic accounting skills in preparing general ledgers, financial statements, basic payroll calculations, and cash management.
- use various input software and tools to create, edit, and format documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- employ appropriate office technology to effectively complete office-related tasks.
- demonstrate professionalism.

Prerequisite courses may apply to this program. A minimum of 30 unduplicated credits (100 level or higher) are required for all certificate programs.
Program Requirements
GNST 100 offers skills needed to succeed in work-life. It is a required course and must be taken during the first semester at MCC.
