Montcalm Community College (MCC) offers this degree program in cooperation with the Institute of Agricultural Technology at Michigan State University. This program is designed for students who desire to work in the crop management industry, either owning their own farms, managing farms for others, or for companies in supporting industries. All students will complete industry-related internships as part of the certificate program. Students learn horticulture, nutrition, compliance, and mitigating disease. Of the credits required for this associate degree, the majority are delivered by MCC and the remainder are delivered by MSU. It is possible for a student to complete this program and transfer to a four-year agricultural degree program at MSU. All MSU courses will be offered on MCC’s campus or online.
