Montcalm Community College offers associates of science, science & arts, and applied science degrees, as well as several certificate programs. Specific curriculum requirements for each of the degree and certificate programs are below. Associate degrees require a minimum of 60 credits; certificates require a minimum of 30 credits. All program course requirements must be met to obtain the degree or certificate for each program. Students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university are advised to consult with a counselor or advisor during their first semester.
Associate Degree-earn 25 percent or a minimum of 15 credits (of courses required in the degree program), whichever is greater. Certificate-earn 25 percent or a minimum of 8 credits (of courses required in the certificate program), whichever is greater.
Multiple Degree Procedure
Students may receive more than one Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree if they fulfill the requirements. The completion of a certificate program coupled with general education courses is not sufficient to qualify for a degree.
Agreements
MCC collaborates with several universities to ensure easy transfer. Students should discuss transfer options with their counselors or advisors.
